Featherweight
With the stampede to the Wollmeise stand over at Knit Nation this week, I thought it might be an idea to highlight an excellent use for this most precious addition to your stash.
For those of us who don't knit socks, or want an alternative to a shawl as a way to show off the stunning, saturated colours, the Featherweight Cardigan from Knitbot may be just the thing you're looking for. A simple, elegant design and the perfect cardigan to throw on over a summer dress, or add a little colour to jeans and a t-shirt. For me, it's the ideal pattern for the two skeins I came home with rather triumphantly yesterday.
The pattern was originally written for Malabrigo Lace (another delicious yarn, both in softness and colour) but I think a whole variety of handpainted lace yarns or sock yarns would work brilliantly - as you can see from one look at the projects on Ravelry.
